The Modern History of Chino CA Real Estate Can Be Traced Back to the 1790s Near the Santa Ana River:

Located near the Santa Ana River and the San Gabriel Mountains. The modern history of real estate located in this beautiful setting can be traced back to the 1790s when the Mexican government granted a homestead named Rancho Santa Ana del Chino to Antonio Maria Lugo's family. The Lugos converted Rancho Santa Ana del Chino into a functioning ranch that later became an important commercial center during the Mexican-American War and the California Gold Rush.

The ranch was divided into several subdivisions in 1887 by Richard Gird. 

The demand for Chino CA real estate increased during the 1890s when farmers discovered how to use Chino's fertile soil to raise alfalfa and corn. This discovery encouraged many farmers to move to Chino during the late 19th century.

Chino's real estate market expanded during the first half of the 20th century when farmers discovered how to grow peaches, strawberries and walnuts on their farms. This expansion was sustained in the 1940s when farmers developed a dairy industry that sustained Chino's economy. This industry sustained Chino's economy until the 1960s when retailers learned how to developed the commercial properties in Chino CA that were located near Chino's downtown area.
